Been having trouble with my new ACC power windows jamming down. I finally got tired of taking my door panel off so I made the decision to buy a set of original regulators. For some reason the seller disassembled them for shipping.
I was trying to figure out how to orient the springs correctly and finally found a pic on the forum.
Took the laptop to the work bench for reference.
The vice grips slipped off while winding them and the spring flew off. You guessed it.
Oh, and it also took a chunk off of my thumb just for good measure.
Talk about project creep.
Until I got to the end of your post I was worried that it had damaged your car! Glad it wasn’t worse - phone screens are replaceable and skin will heal!
