The race was postponed from June to September due to Covid, causing shedule conflicts with other IMSA races.
Not the best time to be sending cars, crews, equipment, and drivers 1/2 around the world either!
Ford suspended their sportscar racing program (Ganassi Racing) at the end of last year.
Their modern commitment to GT racing racing seemed to be tied only to the 50th anniversary of their historic Le Mans wins
I like to watch sports car racing. I try to catch the IMSA stuff when i can. The Corvette Team has been pretty good this year. Would have been good to see them and the Ford GT racing at LeMans this year....interesting, but less so without them. Wouldn't it be fun to rent that track at one's own risk and just gas-it, a little around there?
I've watched LeMans ever since they started to broadcast it, and have been there three times with the Viper Team. This time I couldn't seem to get "engaged" with the action, probably because a) No American cars or drivers to root for, and b) All the LMP prototype cars look the same - can't tell one from another. I just had it on for background noise, and finally turned it off.

Sure would be fun, but like Dad used to say..... 'It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt'..... Here are some folks who thought taking their shot at the famed Nurburgring would be fun...... Not all drivers, cars and riders are 'racer' material......
