Engine Stamp
I want to take a good look at my engine stamp in my '63 coupe. Stamp has been covered with paint and I wondering the best way to remove the paint without messing the pad up? Then what do you do to protect the bare metal of the pad?

Use paint remover with a rag, nothing else! Dab it on, let it sit a while then start rubbing the paint off. You may need to do this more than once.

Dennis is right on the money. After you have the paint off I put a little dab of oil on my finger tip and wipe it across the pad. It helps keeps the surface rust free.
