I hope someone here can help me understand my problem and help me fix it. This car is a 1966 corvette roadster.
All parts of the wiper arm system are correct yet the driver side wiper goes too far left and off the windshield past the chrome. All parts are original, with correct markings. The passenger side is good. The wiper motor has been rebuilt but the problem still persists. This looks like a system with no adjustments. IE> it was designed to be put on and work correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Bob
Your wiper arms should have the adjustment screw. This is for fine tuning the wiper sweep. Also, your wipers should be oriented as shown in the attached pic. Dennis
Yes, when fully parked the DS wiper should be 1" above the stainless lower molding and the PS 1" above the DS arm and both should be as parallel to the ground as you can adjust them.
This DOES assume you have the arms installed and indexed properly on the wiper transmission shafts ! Here is a "straight ahead" pic:

Can you explain how the adjustment screw works IE: Which way to turn the screw when the drivers side has over travel into the and past the chrome on windshield?
Thanks
Bob

Look - turn the screw until the arms is parallel to the lower, horizontal stainless windshield molding and the problem will take care of itself.
