I was not doing very good at decoding it and we have guys on here that are experts in my eyes!
In the notes on the build he mentioned that he was aiming for a 1967 327 with 350 guts that would produce 295-350 HP.

I picked up another car and the engine information is as follows:

Block# 3892657

V04J9MS

Head C277

Description from the original builder 1967 327 Block
New Large Journel 350
Forged Steel Crank Nitrate ground 10 thousand under.
Forged Rods
Forged Crank
Bored 60 over
Flat Top Pistons

He said the block was a GM Test Block? I had never heard that term.

It's a 67 350/295 with a 4bbl and manual trans from a 67 Camaro.

"MS" indicates a 67 or 68 Camaro 350/295, but the 3892657 block was only used in 67. The 657 block was used for 302's, 327's, & 350's, but with the MS stamp it can only be a 350.

The date, V04J9MS, is probably V04I9MS, as I was often used for a 1. The "V" indicates it is a Flint block, and 04 is April, 19 is the 19th = April 19, 1967 engine build date.
