The suspension on the 63 was the F40 option and available thru 1966 I believe and then they changed it to F41 option. I owned a 64 FI with it and it made a difference over the base. When the big block came out in 65, it used different spring heights but the same ft-lbs of compression. The big advantage of the Z06 option was the brakes and gas tanks for endurance races. In 64 the Z06 option became piecemeal and could be added to any of the FI cars.
But since I'm here, I'll address the posed question, "Why would anybody junk up a '63 split window"??
Because 25-30 years ago, or more, people weren't all "ga-ga" over C-2 Corvettes, They were just another old, used Chevy. People actually used to drive them on salt covered roads in the winter!! (the 'glass body didn't rust.....) One of my buddies from the neighborhood had a '63 roadster, for 2-3 years. Jacked the rear way up, in order to fit a pair of 15x10" Cragar S/S wheels and L60 Goodyear Rally GT tires. Naturally, that messed up the angle of the halfshafts, and he started going through u-joints like crazy. Did he take the goofy wheel/tire set up off?? Nope, one of the "skilled fabricators" in the area dropped the IRS out of it, and put in a parallel leaf spring, solid Ford 9" rear in it......

If you blow up the picture that shows the engine compartment, you can see that the master cylinder isn't like the standard one that comes on 63s, so maybe it is the real deal. Would have been nice if they had shown an interior picture of the gas tank area.

One of the most admired mods you could make to a C2--back in the day--was to have the fenders flared and mount large tires in the rear. I knew a guy who had a '64 L 76 that ran like a scaled ape that had that modification. It was the coolest looking C2 on the street.
