Default Help on Correct Date Code for 64

The VIN on my 64 roadster ends in 111514. I believe that has a January build date. Usually the date stamp on the radiator is a month or so before that. Does that mean my date code should be November of 63, i.e. 63L?

If that's the correct vin, the calculator shows appr. Feb 18, 1964 build. I'm hot sure what arbitrary month radiator code that would take. I would think any time before that would be plausible.

According to the C2 Registry, birthday calculator, your cars approximate birthday is February 18, 1964. With that said, a December '63 or January '64 would work. What date does your expansion tank have on it? It would make sense that you align the two as long as the expansion is original. I recently replaced my '67 radiator with a DeWitts and asked their advice on what date to use. My car was built February 1, 1967 and the recommended a December 66 date code on my new radiator. Since yours is roughly half way through the month of February they may suggest January 64 date code. Call DeWitts and ask them what they think.

Thanks to all replies. Info on birthdate is useful. Will check overflow tank and will call dewitts.
