Default Source for these clips (1963 Windshield).

I'm hoping someone may have two of these clips, or have a resource for a couple of them. They're on the backside of my '63 windshield stainless trim.

Also, I know that the picture provided is not of the entire clip, as it was pretty much disintegrated when I removed the stainless.

Help is greatly appreciated!

Pat

There was some previous discussion about this if you can find it.
It appears the aftermarket clips are not long enough for a 63.
The above may or may not work for yours.
Hoping they will.

The clips you need are not available. I bought used from "Pipers" many years ago. Because the female clip attaches over the pinchweld and 64 and up female clips are screwed into outer portion of the pinchweld thus the new male is shorter. Your option is to use the 64 and up style in this location; which is installed before you install the windshield.
Another option I thought of was to take two of the newer style and build one by cutting the male portion off one and use that piece to extend to the desired length. A good overlap and a good adhesive should work. Note that there is retention by the side molding capturing the lower molding/moulding. Keep us informed.
BTW, did you find the broken male piece in the female side? I can provide the correct measurement if required. I am looking at both styles as I type.

Aloha,
Rene'

Default Clips

Used original or convert to 64 and up style. The repro’s are too short as said above. I don’t know any supplier with used ones.

Thanks Rene'! Unfortunately, I didn't find any broken pieces when I removed the stainless. It looks like I may have to convert to '64 style.

Damn...I was hoping someone may have a few used originals, but as more time goes on, it looks like I may have to convert to the '64 style.

Thanks,

For what it is worth, I installed mine without the clips and it seems to be holding strong

5-6 years ago when many said Paragon had the most faithful 63 coupe repro windshield clips, I bought a set in anticipation of R&Rnig the windshield due to scratches (which surprisingly polished out) so I'll have to dig into my garage shelves and break them out an look them over to see if they're worth a hoot.
