My saga with the knockoffs on my 64 roadster continues. I tried removing the knockoffs today so I could get the spinners pointing in the right direction. Banging on the spinner doesn't seem to loosen it. I pulled the cap off the spinner and didn't recognize the type of knockoff. I'm assuming it's a bolt on. I don't see any clips or anything holding it in place. I don't see anyway to remove the spinner or knockoff. Does anybody recognize this? If so, any advice on how to remove the spinner and knockoff? Thx.

Yes they are bolt on. There is probably an anti-theft pin installed. You need to remove the parts in the center (see arrows) for removal of the pin before you can hit the spinner off.
BTW if it isn't, that wheel should be on the passenger side of your car

Although I'm not familiar with the bolt-on "knockoffs" (I have real aftermarket KOs), the center bolt appears to be a normal grade 8 bolt in the spinner; if so, it would unscrew counter-clockwise. Looking carefully at the 3 ramps aligning it with the spinner, it appears that the clearance between the ramps and the bolt shows that clockwise torque has been applied. Have you tried to turn the spinner counter-clockwise?
larry, I've tried both directions but perhaps not hard enough. I emailed America First to see if they are the manufacturer and to see if they have instructions. Thanks for the reply

agree, looks to be some aftermarket arrangement intended to have the cosmetics of an actual C2 KO, I’m sure someone here will recognize it.... in the meantime I’d google, and check utube, probably info there as to how to get the thing off your car.
It's America's Finest, not America's First..
Corvette Pacifica and Cranes Corvettes both sell them, probably others as well. Google America's Finest Corvette knockoffs images and you'll see pictures.

I have a 1966 with knock offs. I have a quality leather mallet, not real heavy but does move the spinner a little at a time. going clockwise as it states on the spinner (OFF with arrow pointing clockwise) Now the inner cup will move by hand so its getting looser. Need a bigger heavier hammer I think??? I'm tired of beating on it! Why would they make them so tight? It makes me wonder why they supply a lead hammer??? I'm ready for a sledge hammer and block of wood. Why would they think this is O.K. set up that might need to be done at night in the rain!!! Damn...IS THERE A BETTER WAY??? KG
Big-K, get a suction cup to remove your inner caps with the red, white and blue marks. If your hub has slots perpendicular to the threads, you probably have anti theft pins installed which now may be partially sheared. Hopefully you can retighten the spinners and pull the pins out. Usually only one pin is installed so check all the slots.
With the center cup off...I see no index pin or any holes? Just one bolt in the center with three raised locking tabs to keep the bolt from turning in the spinner. I took pictures but takes a day for them to show up on my laptop. KG
Looking at my above picture....I see that the front wheel has the spinner pointing forward and the rear wheel the spinner pointing rearward. That's not correct is it??? KG
The driver side wheels tighten clockwise, the passenger side wheels tighten counterclockwise..... There should be arrows on the spinner, the adapter should be mounted so the arrows on the spinner point the correct direction.
Crane supply, cranescorvette.com that sells exact replica Knock offs look to be the same type that I have. See 63-66 style knock offs They show the parts in detail on their site. The same spinners that I have. (GOOD PICTURES) KG

You don’t have knock offs pal, you have some aftermarket bolt-on arrangement that is designed to look like a knock off..... I have no idea whether those bolts in the center to hold the fake spinners on are right hand thread or left hand thread
O.K. they installed them wrong on my car....Back to removing them, the spinner says OFF with a arrow, me thinks that means to knock them that direction to remove the spinner. In doing just that and the center hub cover is now loose and can be turned by hand, so that means its getting looser, I would think that is the correct way to knock-em...KG
Blue Ridge 67 turned out to be correct. They are America's Finest wheels. Mike from AF helped with some instructions. Very easy to take off. That nut in the middle is nyloc. As you turn the spinner counter-clockwise (fairly hard) at some point you get past the nylon part and then the spinner spins easily and eventually comes off. There are no pins. You just turn counter clockwise to remove and clockwise to tighten. That's true on all four wheels so you ignore the OFF arrow and turn like you would with the "righty tighty" rule.
Big-K, that sounds like the America's Finest bolt-ons that I started this thread with. My reply is below. If so, all of the wheels loosen turning counter-clockwise regardless of which side of the car they are on and regardless of which way the arrow points. That center nut is nylock so you need to turn it hard a couple of times counter clockwise to get past the nylon after that the spinner turn easily. I used my lead hammer for a few blows to get it started. You don't need to take off the center cap. It is purely for show. I arranged my spinners so they all point towards the front of the car, but the arrow is just for show it has nothing to do with the direction you need to turn the spinner to remove. It's always the "lefty loosy", "righty tighty" rule. I'm only referring to America's Finest bolt-ons with that comment.
