Default Interior Paint Code for '63 Dark Blue.

Does anybody have a recommendation for the dark blue paint on the interior of a '63 Corvette?

I need to paint my speaker grill and the small piece of trim at the bottom of the windshield.

Thanks,

Pat

Hey Keith,

I ordered two cans of paint from the site you suggested.

Stupid money for two cans of spray paint, but I have to say, it's the best match for the dark blue! This is after three other tries with other paints. Two of which were custom mixed.

None the less, this company provided paint that is as close to the factory color of dark blue, than I have been able to find elsewhere.

Thanks again for the reference!

Pat

While I know their paint is expensive but the color match is dead on. I bought a few cans of 65-68 bright blue and 67 saddle and always had a great match and a color that sprays very well. So for me I know it’s worth to have a product that is worth it

Pat and others.
My hardtop interior trim is a wonderful dark blue metallic that has seen little sun and looks richer than some of the Daytona Blue repaints that I've seen. I've wondered if the interior dark blue is the same mix/color as Daytona Blue? Thoughts, opinions?

Hey Gary,
Bud.....I really just don't know. I was having problems finding a dark blue match to my new interior for the '63. I even took pieces of the dash pads to the paint store (twice), with attempts to match it. Nothing was just right, and I knew I would regret it down the road. Keith suggested the site and I ordered two cans. So glad I did. Shipping costs were crazy, but still glad I did order a couple of cans.

Hopefully someone (with more knowledge than I), will be able to comment on the dark blue versus daytona blue.

Take care,

Pat
