[C1] Early 58
Hello all;
Should I put the metal end caps on my new dash pad or not?
The car is very early 58 (#500) and I seem to remember that the end caps were not put on until august 1958.
All that being said, I also don"t want to damage the new dash pad either.
Your thoughts?

My '58 is even earlier (0152) and it has the dash caps (the flat, stainless type)

Es but is the dash original or has it been replaced? Someone could have added them if it is a replacement dash to an early car that did not originally have them.
We have to be careful that all of these things are considered and spelled out when giving advise so that we know it is accurate.

I bought the car in 1961 so I know it came with the stainless dash caps.
