Gear selection
Hi all, hope all had a safe Memorial day weekend.
ok, I'm still at it. My 3.08 gears (with 5sp tko600 and 383 strstroker) are in need of "work" My high torque 383 pulls real easy in 2nd from stop and in 3rd with little clutch slip. In 5th is 80 mph at 2000 rpm with 26.5" tires.
Do about 8.16 in 1/8th with around 88.5mph in the trap with radial street drags.
Would there be a "performance" advantage going to 3.55 gears.
