I've noticed that when I go to open my decklid I have to be careful not to press too hard because the pushbutton can go all the way through the bezel and get stuck inside the compartment. Is this normal?
It could be the button (481450) is screwed down too low on the rod (481455). The nut in the diagram below can be used to adjust the button higher on the rod to keep it from depressing too low. This should prevent it from catching on the bezel. You may also want to make sure the rod is not bent, and that the clip (541002) is placed properly on the bottom of the rod. Good luck!
