Lots of record high temperatures around the country right now. Misery factor is pretty high. Brown outs and black outs add to the dangerous conditions.

Went to Corvettes at Carlisle last year..Thursday was BLISTERING! low 90's for sure, you're right, not fun.
Friday was still hot, until the torrential downpours came at 3 or so.. Saturday was the best day even though it was forecast as the worst.
Bottom line: You never know what you'll get down there.
I've been to the AACA meet in Hershey in October and have seen 90's and upper 40's with wind..
