Default Fixing egged out upper shock mounts

Just sharing what I have used to repair mildly egged out holes.

I use a strip of copper rolled around a bolt that together approximates the size of the original hole (error on the smaller side given its easier to remove material than add). I use the MIG welder and start as far into the hole as possible and build up the weld from the bracket toward the copper. The weld may mildly stick to the copper but easy to break loose. After that I'll use a drill bit to ream it to size and a little grinding to each side to flatten and blend. Depending on the situation I'll use a mini-die grinder, 1" sanding disks on angle die grinder, 3/8x13" sanding belt or sand it by hand.

I'm not able to locate a before picture but a good 3/8" of the hole was egged out from 1/16th to a 1/8th of inch in the worst area.

IIRC - the bracket hole is 11/16ths of an inch.

Anyone else do it differently?
