I have posted in the WTB section, but my question is can you install the regulator after the vent window is installed. It has been about 3 years since I tore the car down. Thanks The 65-67 coupe and 63-64 convertible style have a 3 ring grooved shaft. 1964 Convertible Drivers side. (left).
Holt, first I don’t know the answer.
But, look in AIM, page D110 or sheet 1 doors, 4.00. That’s the coupe and it looks doable.
Next, look in AIM, pageD115, or sheet 1 doors, 13.00. That’s the convertible.
I think you have to remove the ventilator assembl, item 1.
Very easy to remove. The door handles are the hard part. Very east to fix. Guaranteed the back plate has came loose or fell off it will be in the bottom of the door. Drill where the plate was wedged on and tap and screw back together
Doors have no guts. After 3 years I am putting it back together. Sequential order can be an issue. Lack of availability on Driver’s side regulator is slowing me down. If I can rebuild the doors and add the regulator after the fact I can keep going. Thanks
