I just had the new Detroit Speed headlight motors installed in my 66 and the driver’s side does not want to come up all the way without some manual help. Has anyone had problems with the pivots they attached to?
I can't help with any experience, but based on your wording, someone did the work for you. If correct, go back to them. They obviously didn't test their work. Hold them responsible for fixing the issue. Dennis

Agreed.
BTW, the DS actuators use load-sensing to shut off the actuators automatically when they hit their stops. If there's resistance to rotation of the bucket that exceeds a certain threshold, the actuator will shut itself off, because the controller will "think" the bucket has reached its rotational limit. Odds are that's what's going on with this one. With no motor or actuator present, the bucket should be able to be moved freely by hand with nearly zero effort.

No I no longer work on my cars.
I have a good mechanic not concerned about this part of it.
He said it was having a ptoblem coming up but said that if the engine was raved a little it jumped right up. Since posting this a charging problem has come to light and when it is taken care of the light problem may be gone. I will respond when this is fixed.
