We have 2 pilots lined up and so far everything looks like it's good for a go to fly Sat, Sep 18. The plan is to start engines at 1130. So, if anyone can come to the Guthrie airport, come on out.
Tom, I'm certainly not qualified, but if you run out of pilots, Ill give anything a shot . I'm not familiar with the flight characteristics of the A-26, but I'm pretty sure the basics still apply:
Pull back, trees get smaller.
Push forward, trees get bigger.
Left is left.
Right is right.
Wishing the best for the team. Seems like it's been 5-6 months since the last (first?) flight. Have you guys been addressing squawks? Certainly understand caution for such a complex bird. Look forward to a report and videos. Love following your progress.
I absolutely love the sound of those engines at cold start. Wish I was there. Best of luck with it!
Well, OK, this was our very first test flight a few months ago. That's me standing up.
Turn up the volume and enjoy the magical music of big radials.
I bitch and moan and go overboard about people who make videos of planes, drag boats, race cars, steam locomotives, etc, etc, and DROWN OUT THE TRUE SOUNDS OF THE MACHINERY WITH DUBBED-IN MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why do these kinds of idiots not understand that they are eliminating part of the experience????????????
You won't hear any of that GD music dubbed into my very amateurish videos.
And on the subject of making a video of a steam locomotive, why in GOD'S GREEN EARTH would someone want to ruin this by dubbing music???????????? It's just beyond my ability to understand!
