Default Identify This Spring?

This is a NOS spring ordered in the mid 70's, but the part tag/ID has fallen off. Any idea on part #, fitment/use?
Likely ordered for 63 or 64.

It looks like the clutch return spring. On end is on the clutch pivot shaft, the other anchored to the firewall near the steering column.

C2 engine compartment, driver’s side. Clutch return spring in center between between clutch operating rod and steering column.

C2 engine compartment, driver’s side. Clutch return spring connection to firewall on lowere left of picture.

No way the clutch return spring. Way too light a gauge. Only half the winds of the clutch return spring. I don't think it belongs on a mid year, anywhere.

I should have added that the pictures are from a 1965 Corvette. The clutch return spring may be slightly different on the earlier models. Another possibility is that the spring is for the parking brake return that is located under the car. Unfortunately, I do not have a picture of that spring.

with everything that Don says here. I do believe, however, that it is a throttle return spring from some carburetor on some car...just not a C2.

I didn’t want to bias any response, but this was my thought. The clutch and brake springs are much heavier gage.

Post 5 's picture shows 2 springs on the clutch Z bar. This is consistent with my 63 shop manual. And my car.

Pop said "most likely a 63/64 part.

That is not a second spring in the photo. It is the armor of the parking brake cable.

No, he's right, there is a second spring, and also a third, down by the oil filter. You can barely see the forward anti-chatter spring on the rod going to the throw out bearing release fork. The rear anti chatter spring is also there, barely visible. The spring in question is neither of those, They are short, and thin, Maybe only 3" long and 3/8" diameter coils. It ain't those either.
