Default clock diode

hi im not savvy with computers so sorry. i got a newer computer and lost the info on clock repair. it had a picture of were to solder the diode so the clock would not send the power through the points but through the diode so the points would not get pitted and stop working. i dont know how to do a subject search, again sorry but i just went blind glancing from page 11-40 .

I'm pretty sure Raged is trying to describe the use of a transistor and a diode as a driver for the clock solenoid so the points in the winder won't pit due to arcing. Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of that circuit.

Sorry Joe, I forgot who posted the pictures and failed to annotate it in my file. Thanks for posting them though.
