Default Ignition switch woes

I discovered that my ignition switch, on my '64, is in the "Acc" position when the bezel says "Lock" and it has run my battery down once already. It also lets me pull the key out while it is in the "Acc" position. I took the switch out thinking that it may have rotated in the dash panel but when I go it out, I noticed the little tab was in the groove in the dash. Has anyone else had this problem with the key not lining up with the printed switch positions? I've ordered all new components for a new switch but if it has the exact tab like the one I have now it will not line up. Is it possible that this is just a GM switch and not correct for this car?

Is it possible you have a 65/66 igniton cylinder in it? They do not have a lock position, just acc, off, run, and start

What are the numbers on the switch? I think someone here had a post on the different switches used. I remember a 65 using a 066 switch (I believe that is correct), but don't recall what the other C2s are.
