I just bought this 61. Can anyone tell me how to remove this particular distributor time advance collar?

Is that a collar that needs to be I loosened with an open end wrench?

So I was installing an electronic ignition getting rid of the points but that “collar” is the lob. The condenser and points have already been removed. Lol. And the point elimination kit is already installed. Uffffff.

Pull it up to the bottom of the advance weight plate and slide it to one side and it should clear that end of the advance plate.
Welcome to the forum. Everyone is going to want pictures of your car.
