Another thing to consider is what you are going to do with the engine after you pull it out.
If you are going to mount it on something like an engine stand, confirm that the engine stand
will fit between the legs of the engine hoist far enough to mount the engine on it
I had to shorten the ends of my engine stand to fit.
Echoing many of the tips mentioned above, especially making sure the engine hoist is extended out far enough to get the motor in without the lift hitting the front of the car...... that, and use an engine leveler, so you do not need to muscle it around......

As mentioned above, you need to have a hoist with enough reach to pull it from the front. The boom on the plentiful Harbor Freight 2 Ton, like mine, and others are a few inches too short. You can pull it out easy enough because the eng/trans need to move forward anyway. Getting it back in far enough might be a problem. The hoist will be against the nose of the car. I installed my engine/TKO from the side recently.
