Radiator to hood air dam installation
Good Afternoon, I have searched this forum but I am not able to find the correct way to install a radiator to hood air dam. I talked to Mike at Bair's Corvette in Linesville Pa and while he was standing next to a 66 with air this is how he instructed me to install it.I have seen pictures of it installed differently.I have the short side up and the longer side down between the support and the radiator.I had air installed in my 65 coupe this past summer.Any information would be helpful. Thanks

Here's the diagram from the Zip's website - according to their picture, yours looks like it's installed correctly. I'll be interested in the responses because I just ordered this part this morning for my'66.

Installed correctly, the flap lays on top of the radiator thereby sealing the gap between the radiator and the radiator support. The idea is to keep the air flowing through the radiator and the flap attempts to keep that airflow from flowing over the radiator.
