Default BaT shipping

Has anyone use BaT's shipping service? I need to get a car from Ohio to Mass. Any recommendations?

Thanks, Dave

If its a broker no way. You want a shipper who's home base is your town. Then you know they will come home with your car..

Dave, I have not used BAT for shipping but have used Intercity many times for shipping to and from the Cape. They are the best IMO.

I've used these guys out of Mass. I booked it through Montway. Enclosed NJ to Arizona, great job.

I would think BaT would hook you up with someone reputable since their name is on the line too. Many brokers screen their actual transporter so you get someone with a good track record. I've used Montway many times, every move has been great.

Dave,

I used Montway this past July to ship a car from Washington DC to Portland OR. Unfortunately I discovered too late that they are a broker and not a shipper. My ignorance not theirs.

I had significant trouble with Montway to the point where I would never ever use them again. If possible I would seek to deal directly with the shipper and cut out the broker. This was my only experience shipping a car and a very bad one at that.

Good Luck with whoever you choose. C.J.

i used montway to ship a Tahoe from Virginia to Calais Maine in jan 2020

couldn't have been much worse

dropped it off 90 miles from where I was quoted for double the price i was quoted , took them 5 weeks to get it that far

they were supposed to give me 24 hours notice before delivery , they called when the truck was 15 minutes out........i was 180 miles away from where it was dropped

what he said " If possible I would seek to deal directly with the shipper and cut out the broker. This was my only experience shipping a car and a very bad one at that"

never again john b

I have a car right now in transit from Pennsylvania to Calif and I am using Plycar. Enclosed six car trailer it believe. Horseless carriage 8 weeks. Some companies I called were 2-3 weeks out or more and Intercity was 3-6 weeks. I called Reliable and they were not even taking orders, too busy. If I get my car tomorrow it will be 2 1/2 weeks for 2,646 miles and on schedule. Cost is about $1.15 per mile and they provide gps tracking so you can follow the journey. I will come back with results later. plycargroup.com

My new C1 purchase just arrived and on time. Plycar is a first rate transporter and recommend without reservation. They called the morning of delivery day and then again about 1 hour out to advise of arrival.
