I have an engine with the engine code V1223ZW that I am having trouble identifying, Could someone help me identify it?
It has a number on the fuel rail of 17093005 3502KHF
Thank you, Roger.
All suffix codes that start with W are all from trucks and nothing real special. What is the casting number of the block. And what do you mean fuel rail?
The only significant difference I know of is that truck engines were built with a double row roller timing chain instead of the Morse timing chain used in pass. car engines. Theoretically the roller chain is more durable, and the Morse chain is quieter. I always recommend the truck chain for rebuilds. The set is about 30 bucks.
Some 350 (and maybe 327) truck engines have small port/valve {283 size) heads. All pass car 327/350s were built with big port heads.
Where is anyone seeing a suffix starting with "W" in those numbers?

I can only think the Z is a typo and its W and missing a letter. there is only 4 suffix codes that start with "V" and none are VW. but even the V suffix codes are from a truck.

I still don't know what this is or do we know what the casting number is
That's using a lot of imagination to come up with that possibility.
