Engine Casting Dates

I've been trying to find a reference document that explains where the casting dates are located on the 327 engines and how to decipher the codes. Haven't had much luck. Can someone point me in the right direction ?

Here is the casting date for my '67 327/300. It is cast on the top of the engine behind the passenger cylinder head near where the block is bolted to the bell housing. Mine is E 5 7 or May 5 1967.

A= January, B= February, C= March etc.

Here is the casting date for the intake manifold: B 9 7

I have looked at the Lime Book, but it doesn't seem to provide any information about casting dates.
