Anyone have the scoop on when/what circumstances GM installed 7 or 5 blade, steep pitch fans? Especially for small blocks.

1963-Early 1964: 5 blade, steep pitch, with round head rivets
Late 1964-1965: 7 blade
1966-1967: 5 blade, steep pitch, with flat head rivets

Maybe you are talking about cars with factory A/C?
My 65 is in the body shop right now but I THINK mine with original engine and components has the 5 blade. It is NOT a factory A/C car.
Also it should be noted that the 5 blade fans LOOK as though the would be out of balance.
