I am in the process of finishing the restoration of my father '64 Vette that he started 45 years ago. In going thru all of the parts and I came across a Muncie main transmission case (Cast # 3851325) which is correct for '64 & '65 Vettes. It doesn't have a VIN stamped in the typical location for a Vette, but does have 'M21057' stamped on the top. My first gut feeling that is a VIN #, but haven't found anything on the Internet that could confirm or deny my assumption. I am assuming it is from a non-Vette car, but unable to determine which model. Does anyone have any insight?
