Default head temp switch thread size

HIYA Guys,

Hope all went well for christmas!

I have a 69 350 (Vette) motor in the 59 and I need to know what the thread size of the temp switch hole in the head is.

I think that it is 1/2" BSP but am not sure.

I know that I could take out the old one and get the size but I don't want to dump the coolant in case the local guys don't have the correct size and then I'll have to waste another fill.

Thanks as allways, Mark.
