66 Stop lights not working!
have 2 66 c2 convertibles, while installing an after market radio in one, and headlight motors on the other, I have somehow caused the tail, stop, courtesy, and instrument lights to not work!!
Related lights still working are: turn signals, front parking lights and backup lights.
installed new fuses, verified 12 volt power to bottom 2 fuses - still - tail, stop, courtesy & instrument lights not working!!
I have a wiring diagram, but I have to admit I am not good at interpreting it!
any thoughts?

These three. The inst fuse gets it power from the tail lamp fuse, (via the headlight switch contact) so if either tail or inst fuse is blown, no inst lights. Brake/courtesy is the bottom, as shown. Again, don't just "check" the fuse, measure voltage on both sides and measure on the clips that hold the fuse.
test light & volt meter show No voltage at bottom 3 fuses -so I guess next step is to remove fuse block & see what's going on, on the back side!
Removed the 2 engine compartment harness plugs, which plug into the forward side of the fuse block, connectors look ok)
I ordered the 66 color coded 11x17 wiring diagram from zip, should have tomorrow. Looks like that's the same diagram you have used to send me wire photos- very helpful, thanks much!

Are you sure you had a good ground with your meter and test light? If so take a look at the back side of the fuse panel (two screws and the bulkhead connectors on the engine side that you had loose) It should look like this and gets the voltage for the bottom fuses where the arrow is:
It may look like this or somewhere between:
Either way, verify your measurements with a GOOD ground, and then check on the red wire shown. It could still be in the fuse clips if you didn't measure there as I suggested.

Removed fuse block, slid red wire connector off & back on blade connector, cleaned all fuse tabs.
Replaced 2 fuse block screws with machine bolts & nuts. (screws no longer held the block in place while plugging in harness on fire wall side, preventing solid positive connections)
now have tail lights & instrument lights, hurray!
stop lights still inop, but now have 12 volts to the switch on the brake pedal - will sort that out tomorrow.-
thanks again for all your expertise!

Stop light switch, turn signal switch, or bad connection at the plug on top of steering column going up to turn signal switch (white wire).. If turn signals are working at rear, it's not the ground, bulbs, wires, sockets, etc. They are shared with the stop lights. Make sure your turn signal switch is NOT in a turn direction, but centered between left and right. Are your courtesy lights working now? If not, back to the bottom fuse again.
good morning
received the zip wiring diagram - not good.
your diagram is much more understandable, however when I enlarge it, becomes too blurry to read.
Is your diagram available on line?
could you email me a picture of your diagram which I could enlarge and print? (garyslee@comcast.net)
