I noticed today that the headlights and taillights on my 63 convertible are not working. I tested the wires to the switch on the floor, and the blue wire is live, but the greens and brown are not. Do the green wires get their juice from the blue wire, through the switch? Or should the green wires be hit regardless? I tried bumping the switch and the rest results did not change. Rear turn signals work fine, but no tail lights nor headlights. Do the tail lights get their juice through the floor switch?
So on a whim I fidgeted with the turn signal lever and got it re-centered just right, and the tail lights started working when I pull the headlight switch out. So the tail lights are good.

The turn signal switch has absolutely nothing to do with tail lights. The floor dimmer switch has absolutely nothing to do with tail lights. The voltage passes through neither of those for tail lights.
The headlight voltage comes to the dimmer switch from the headlight switch on the blue wire. The blue wire should read 12 volts anytime the headlights are on. The green wire should only read 12 volts when the brights are on and the tan wire should only read 12 volts when the dims are on.
