Default 64 Trailing arm/spindle torque values

Someone know the torque values for the four trailing arm/spindle support/backing plate studs as well as the torque value for the spindle? Thanks!

I went out to the truck, got my manuals, and spent about 15 minutes trying to be sure I had the right info. Meantime you are all set!

Yup, mine is too, but that shop is about 23 miles away. Another item on the wall - since mine is a long-term project - is a bright orange sheet in a plastic sleeve, with the message in large letters: "REMEMBER - THERE IS NO OIL IN THE TRANSMISSION AND REAR END" (Actually there is a little but they need to be checked and filled before use.)

I know the rear caliper housing torque setting of 60 lbs. has to be wrong. Jerry

Note written on masking tape attached to my '70's steering wheel: "None of the nuts are on the rag joint"

Thanks for posting the chart. I have a 1964, and this chart is for 1965 through 1982. Just wondering if there is another chart out there. The assembly manual does not show the assembly of the trailing arm, bearings, spindle, etc (thus no torque values). Wondering if the whole trailing arm unit came assembled from a subcontractor; thus, nothing in the assembly manual other than the trailing arm to frame instructions as well as the spring to trailing arm. Anyways - was looking for 1964 info.

This is not 64 specific. It applies to 63-82 TA. The bearings are all the same for stock 17's, different for 31's.

The 4 studs are 3/8-24 thread I set them at 40 ft/lb with new lock washers and nuts
The axle thread is 3/4-20 and should be torqued to 100ft/lb + more to line up the pin hole. A new cupped washer is required for every nut removal so they are only used on final assembly.
