I am restoring the instrument cluster in my 67 and using Roger Scott of Corvette Instruments to rebuild the gauges. (very easy to deal with)
I also ordered some replacement switiches from Corvette Central, a Wiper Switich, Lighter Retainer and Ignition Switich none of which fit into the holes of the Dash.
I am doing some creative filing on the Switches to make them fit, but my issue is with the replacement Ignition Switch, it does not have the Light Housing as does the origional Switch (673 2). I did not notice a light bulb when I removed the switich nor do I see what a bulb would illuminate. Can anybody comment on this issue.
What is wrong with your original switch? They can be disassembled and lubricated with a little effort. The original grease was lithium and turns to mud over 50+ years.
