QuickJack Experience
He calls it "completely his own fault" as he heard the metal saftey latch fall, but did not visually confirm that it fell forward out of the way, when it actually fell backwards into its locked position, which basicly makes the same noise, so be very careful & be very aware this potential exists.
He owned gas stations & a motor remanufacturing shop for 40+ years before he retired, so its not like he isn't used to cars on lifts.
I have helped him do many things on his car underneath this quick jack & while it seems fine & is much better & higher than jack stands, it's definitely not very confidence inspiring knowing that he's almost had his car slide off off it, so just be very, very careful making sure you have it securely set with the safety locks latched & unlatched properly as well. I definitely prefer my 4 post!

I am not understanding how this situation is happening.
OSHA should outlaw these things. Or go a 4 post.

Since I can't do a post lift in my garage, the QuickJack and a good creeper have allowed me to work on the C2.

I’ve had my Quick Jack for a few years now and have never experienced a problem. Just a couple of points to consider however. First of all, these jacks are heavy. I store mine vertically against a wall in my garage. While there are casters one one side, it’s still a bit tedious getting them into position under the car. Secondly, the fluid reservoir is made of plastic which expands and contracts when the jack is operating. No issues with that either, but I’d prefer metal.
