Ant problems using a Qyeuick Jack 3500 on a '61? I know the '61 runs between 3300 and 3400 (approx). My problem is I have a Spitfire with a smaller base. I don't want to have to buy two lifts. Thanks ahead. Dave
On some of the cheaper ones, the hydraulic pump starts to get weak under load. Instead of a full jack, you get less and less effective movement. Time to stop using it, when that starts happening, is my recommendation.

Safety of the Quick Jack has been discussed ad nauseam here before. Among the conclusions reached in some of those threads is that many thoughtful people have managed to use them successfully and safely as designed. The OP didn't ask about the safety but suitability of one model on a particular car.

YMMV
Safe if used correctly. Same as any other piece of equipment or tool.
If you check their web site it tells you the dimensions it will fit. Also bare in mind that when a company says it will lift 3500 lbs they are being conservative to keep from getting law suits. That wouldn't build it to barely lift the rated amount!
