Yes, most strippers are safe on fiberglass. Follow the directions for clean up and neutralize the remover. I used the AirCraft Stripper (garbage) and the Rustoleum product the parts store carry. That worked way better.

There are paint strippers that are recommended for fiberglas. One I used many moons ago was Captain Lees. It looks like it went out of business about a dozen years ago but I'm sure someone will chime in with what's currently available...and safe for fiberglas.

You can use them on fiberglass, but most paint stripper I've tried using in recent history don't even "hurt" the paint that much

The EPA banned the use of methylene in paint removers a few years ago, so I'm guessing that is why they don't work as well as they use to.

I'm using Clean Strip from Lowes. Works good on my original lacquer, don't know about repaints. I actually stripped about 80% of the car with a razor blade and used the stripper on the peaks and valleys. It took about a gallon. That is about 2 hours work with the blade.

No chemicals on fiberglass. Use plastic media blasting. By the way Corvettes are not actual fiberglass but a different resin.
