Default Engine Pad Stamp

Dear C2 Owners:

To anyone who has run across this issue:

The issue being an engine pad on a 327/300 engine that has the engine date V0 03HE stamped on the pad. The Serial number on this roadster is 117237
I am wondering if anyone has go across a similar issue or is this a Red Herring
Coincidently the serial number, on the pad, appears to have a 7 in-front of the 117237
the red paint on the pad has been removed to allow a view of the pad. That V0 03HE is most bothersome.
Thanks for anyone's help and your input.

Would you be good enough to post a picture of the stamp pad in question?

Larry,
Don't want to take a chance with someone getting too aggressive with an abrasive.
