I have a 67 327-350 and I want to do a tune up right now it has NGK XR 5 V-Power plugs and I'm trying to find out what AC plug would be correct for this motor
Thanks for any help you can give
Pat
Unless you're having your car judged, there's no reason to use AC plugs. I don't even know who makes them. AC Delco is just a marketing outfit that contacts with the lowest bidder to manufacture parts.
Back in the day the AC 45, which was one heat range hotter than the OE 44 was more resistant to fouling, but it's long out of production and all currently available AC plugs are resistor type.
Non-resistor equivalents to the AC 45 are the NGK B4 and Denso W14-U.
I've had AC R45S (S=extended tip) in my 67 350 HP for rmany years. I wouldnt use NGK for the same reason I wouldnt use Hankook tires. It just feels wrong.

False sense of brand patriotism... Your AC Delcos are likely made in China while the NGKs are likely from West Virginia. Jus' sayin' time has flip-flopped loyalties on us.
