on top of Kick up drivers side...you'll need a mirror to see it

IF it's visible it would be on the top surface of the frame overtop of the driver side rear wheel kickup. Chances are, surface rust, limited space will make it very difficult to see. A mirror may be necessary. Dennis

On our 66 coupe (built in late December of 65) the VIN is stamped in the top of the frame just in front of the rear body mount by the left right rear wheel. Just to be clear, this is the mount with the antenna grounding strap by it. The frame is very clean and has only a light patina of rust in this area but the stamp is so faint that even with the body lifted it was very difficult to read. We tried and could not find the stamping until the body was raised.

(Edited to correct which side. Thanks Redbird)

I just recently found my frame VIN on my 66 coupe. Mine was farther to the rear of the location shown in the link posted by Ron Miller. Mine is almost right above the rear body mount. It's pretty difficult to see even with a mirror and a flashlight. I did a lot of cleaning of the surface with lacquer thinner and a Scotchbrite pad and was finally able to see it with an endoscope camera.

I think you mean left rear wheel. Antennas are on the drivers side which is the left side as you are driving.
