I have quite a few C1 and C3 parts from restorations that I would like to sell. Does anyone know of someone that might be willing to sell them at Carlisle in August. It’s not enough to go and setup a booth.
You’re better off just selling them here on the forum. Probably better exposure too. What’s the alternative? You have someone sell them there, so you have to ship the parts to them, then pay the person that is selling a percentage of the price for selling, and then pay for shipping all the parts that didn’t sell back to you?

The problem is everyone is spoiled with the “free shipping” (yeah, right there are no free lunches) that they supposedly get from Amazon and Summit, etc. they build the shipping into the price of the item. Yes, they do get some huge shipping discounts that they are passing on.
The above apples to this because when you advertise parts for sale plus shipping often times the buyer backs out or seemingly always complains about the shipping cost. If you think that parts sellers at swap meets are not thinking about the cost of the swap space, time and fuel to get them there when they price their parts your living in a fantasy world
When people want to buy parts from individuals that are not things you can get from one of the big suppliers that get the big shipping discounts they just need to prepare themselves for “shipping shock”
Given that you don't have a huge volume of parts, you could buy a single vendor spot and offer your parts on Friday and/or Saturday, which are the busiest days for parts sales. That way you can have your vehicle on the fairgrounds so you won't have to pay for offsite parking or have a long walk to/from your vehicle. This is what I have been doing the last few years and it works out well for me. When I do this, I don't bring a lot of parts to sell either.
For the record, the last 2 Carlisle I got a vendor spot in, I sold almost my parts on Thursday and Friday. Both years I found Saturday to be dominated by the t shirt and wax crowd.

That makes sense. Most savvy buyers know that if your looking for special items or good deals you better get there early.
