Default air, pull, defrost cable

Is there a secret to routing the air pull defrost cable into the passenger side hole in the center section of the dash?
Don't remember how I took it out, seams to be to long to go back in?

Just push the back of the cable away from the dash with one hand and guide it back into position with the other. Easy.
Even easier with the clock out. Easier still with the glove box out as well, but not needed to be

Be careful following the AIM. I have a 66 so not sure about your 67. But the AIM on page 1ASM E5 looks like it comes from the pull terminal and immediately goes up over the Z bar. I broke mine trying to route it IAW that picture. Then try to find one for a non-AC car was impossible. (They have them for AC cars, but they are shorter and will not work for non-AC cars.) I made it work by going under the Z bar and then over and around the heater box and then to the terminal on the heater box. Only advice I have for you is do not bend that cable to forcefully and break it. As far as the other cable that controls the fan speed the above-mentioned AIM page shows that cable routing improperly also. (In my humble opinion.)

Do you have actual pictures of the routing? I'm trying to figure it out on my 63.

Thanks

It does a loop.

It has to because it's so long.
