Temp sending unit

I have a old school 350 block with vortec heads and low profile intake on my car. Well the intake had a smaller pipe plug thread than the normal Early SBC. Does anyone know the correct sending unit that will work with 1958 gauge. The one I took a shot at reads incorrectly. Someone must have this combo.

You can buy TU5’s at most auto parts stores. Unfortunately they’re not made like the OEM sending units. I bought 5 and they all read differently. A problem most of us face.

That will work but it would be nice to have a clean install in the water passage. Thanks I'll look for a water neck.

1" water neck spacer with 1/2" female NPT I used this on my 65, was able to use correct temp sender for IC gauge and Holley Sniper temp sender
