Default Clock: quartz conversion options?

After learning ClockWorks is not doing quartz conversions due to issues with suppliers, I'm trying to come up with another option.
My 63 clock has a burned coil, so it's not an easy repair. But I do prefer to fix whatever I can myself when possible. Call it a character defect.
Any suggestions for another (creative)option?

Quartx movements have gone way up on price. You can find them on ebay for $100+. See if you can snag one of those and see if ClockWorks would let you supply the unit. There are several other places that do these conversions. Rogers, D&M and Corvette Specialties in CA are three that come to mind. It may take a little research and a few phone calls, but you should be able to come up with one of these guys that have what you need. Good Luck!

Got my quartz clock from Zip Corvette for my 59. Looks exactly original. What a pleasure to look down and see the exact time. Well worth it.

I just installed quartz movement in my 63 clock. Easiest one yet. Just get the kit from Corvette Central. Installs in 30 minutes.

Just got my quartz conversion back from Corvette specialties of MD west. They did a beautiful job. Cheers. Mark

This is who I purchased my conversion kit for my 64 from. They have an easy to follow video and when I called them they were very helpful.
