the frame stamp, if it exists, if it is not rusted thru, if all characters are readable, and if the frame is original , are merely a VIN Derivitive and not the complete VIN.. it will show the last 6 though.
those stamps are up amongst the salt spray and car washes don't get there and and 80% of the time are not readable. very hard to get a mirror up there.
google NMVTIS and submit your VIN ( or any vin) (maybe 10$) there. it will tell you which states registered that VIN
