Ok I am stumped on trying to install my 63 antenna. I have the backing plate, underbody spacer, antenna with threaded ends, rubber washer, chrome spacer, and chrome nut. I have the AIM and I am not understanding exactly how it goes back together. My muffler is still on so it is very tight underneath. I tried putting it in from up top but the shoulder of the threaded part won't clear the hole. Does anyone have some clear pictures or instructions on how to install the 63/64 antenna assembly. As I remember from years past it goes in from underneath but would like for someone to confirm before I remove the muffler.
Thanks
Jay

Just got home to reply;
Do you have an original 63 antenna? If so, ground plate up against the body from below, then the antenna from below, now if solo, you hold the plate and antenna from underneath and install the gasket and nut from the top.. Suggest the proper tool to tighten the antenna nut. I struggled.Muff instld makes it tuff.

Thanks Rene and everything you said is correct. I finally figured it all out. Had to loosen muffler to barely get enough room for the ground plate.
