I'm insulating the interior and firewall of my 65 and looking for any photos you may have taken after insulating.

Also, how the hell do I remove the vent doors? Those have to come out easily.

I can offer these from when I insulated my '65 coupe a couple years ago. I thought I had a better pic of the firewall area but I guess I don't, sorry. I used a foil topped thin foam rubber with a self adhesive back. Very nice to work with. Firewall area I just shaped and cut then stuck in place. Managed to get pretty much the whole thing covered without too much grief.
Vent doors remove easily. Check the pivot pins, look for the spring and push that pin towards the center of the vent door.

Not sure how much these help, but Sunday I started making my templates after marking where the vintage a/c, wipers and American Autowire stuff goes. I’ll be happy to mail the templates to you if you like. Mine is a 67 if makes much of a difference. Another member is using my floor templates at the moment.

Here are the floor shots.

Elwood, which material are you using? It appears quilted like an insulation vs sound deadner.
Sticky back side? or glued?

Hi Steve.

I used double foiled sided Thermotec. You have to use a spray adhesive. I put dynamat extreme down first for sound. This was my garage bubba heat experiment on the thermotec. That scrap piece was on for about a minute before I hit it with the temp gun.
