I have a non stock ‘61. Trying to save myself some time and effort. The washer bottle and mechanism in my car is non existent. Looking for recommendation - what vehicle has a tank/pump/etc that is relatively easy to apply to a C1?
Note that you cannot use the C1 wiper switch center button to activate that aftermarket washer pump, since the C1 wiper button is a mechanical switch, not electrical.
Either add a separate electrical switch, or rig up an electrical switch to the original mechanical button (probably more effort than what it is worth, but it is doable).
In my ‘54 l used the foot pump washer out of a old Chevy/Corvette. It’s not high tech by any means but it was inexpensive, easy to install and it works.
