I have a 64 that I want to have my original door locks and ignition keyed alike. I know I can buy a new set, which I did but the quality of the new set is poor. Do you know any locksmiths able to do this? Thanks
If you are okay with modern key blanks you can probably hire any locksmith. If you want original style it's a little harder. At least it was for me. None of the locksmiths near me would touch old style blank keys. I was told it does something bad to their cutting machine. One former member on here posted some time ago that he was able to find a local locksmith in Florida near him that did his car so you might get lucky calling around.
I found someone through NCRS that did mine. I didn't change my locks though, I had original keys cut to match my GM key code. I also sent my spare tire lock and had it matched to use the same key.
There is a company called Jesser's that does the work but I believe he is quite expensive.

I see your in Harleysville. Down in Prospect Park near the Phila. airport there is a locksmith on their main street that does what you are looking for. I had locks done by them for a couple restorations and they were great. I also wanted factory G.M. stuff.
