For a '65, What is the difference in lower radiator hose between the 327 and big block? Is it just that the hose for the big block is a little shorter? Reason I ask is that I just replaced my 327 with a Blueprint 383, but it has a long water pump on it, vs the original short pump, and the original hose is a little too long. Thinking about going with the hose meant for a big block.
From what I remember, the small block lower hose has more bends in it where it goes past the belt and into the pump. You might want to look at some of the Corvette vendor's websites, and compare pictures of the two hoses, to see if you think the big block one might work. Small block Corvettes didn't use the long pump, so a small block pump hose from another year probably wouldn't be of much help either.

Can you elaborate on that? My '60 and my '63 both have short pumps.
IIRC, 1970 small block pumps went to a larger pilot, but otherwise the same length.
for reference ALL 55-91 vettes used the short style water pump BB and SB
all Chevy cars and trucks from 55-68 with a V8 used the short pump
in 1969 for V8 Chevelles, impalas, Camaros, and Novas went to the long pump while trucks and vettes kept the short pump
